Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Measures

posted 6 Feb 2011, 14:56 by Damian Wood   [ updated 6 Feb 2011, 15:14 ]
We invite the YPHSIG to comment on the draft Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Measures, which cover patients from 16 to the end of their 24th year. These measures will be included in the Manual for Cancer Services, which supports the quality assurance of cancer services and acts as a driver for quality improvement in the commissioning and delivery of cancer services. They reflect recommendations of the NICE clinical guideline, Improving Outcomes in Children and Young People with Cancer.
This is an opportunity to comment on any of the Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Measures that raise concern, before they are published in the Manual for Cancer Services. The National Cancer Peer Review Team will consider all comments submitted by the College.
Please review the draft Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Measures. The consultation letter, which includes an introduction to the development of the Manual for Cancer Services, is also attached. Should you have comments on any of the measures, please record them on the attached form and return to us on by Friday, 25 March.
Information on this consultation has been sent to the following groups and individuals:
