NICE - Interventions to Present Substance Misuse Among Vulnerable Young People

posted 6 Feb 2011, 15:20 by Damian Wood
As members of the RCPCH Consultation Panel with an interest in child mental health, clinical pharmacology, child protection, substance misuse or community child health, we invite you to help the College by commenting on the review proposal for the NICE public health guidance, Interventions to Present Substance Misuse Among Vulnerable Young People. The published guidance can be downloaded on the NICE website at http://guidance.nice.org.uk/PH4.

As detailed in the attached document, NICE convened an expert group to consider new evidence and whether the guidance is still relevant and useful. They recommend that the guidance update is not updated at this time. Should you have comments on this proposal, please record them on the attached form and return to us on clinical.standards@rcpch.ac.uk by Friday 28th February. Our deadline is set before that of NICE to allow time to consider all comments received and to draft an official response with review from the RCPCH Clinical Standards Committee. Responses received after this deadline will not be included in the RCPCH response to this consultation.
