Joint YPHSIG and Child Public Health SIG Session at RCPCH Glasgow 2013

The YPHSIG and CPHSIG joint session at this year's RCPCH Conference will be held on Friday 7th June from 13:00 to 16:30. There will be four abstract presentations on the link between ADHD and social deprivation, healthcare priorities in early adolescence, managing substance misuse and reducing ED attendances through engaging with young people and schools. The guest lectures will be
  • Teenage Pregnancy Strategy - Lessons Learned and Next Steps - Alison Hadley, Ex-Head of the Department of Children, Families and Schools Teenage Pregnancy Unit
  • Strategies to Shape the Antecedents of Adolescent Health Behaviour - Dr Marion Henderson, MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, Glasgow
  • Adolescent Health Across Europe: Priorities for Action - Dr Ann Hoskins, Director of Children, Young People and Families, Public Health England
The guest lectures will be followed by a panel discussion and the session will be chaired by Fiona Straw and a representative from the CPHSIG.
