Children and adolescents with chronic illness is a 3.5 day international summer course designed for professionals working with children and/or adolescents with chronic illness. It will cover themes related to chronic illness such as mental health, risk behaviors or therapeutic education. Organized by the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (IUMSP) from Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) & University of Lausanne (UNIL) and the Institute of Social Sciences (ISS - UNIL), this course will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland. This year special focus will be on transition from pediatric to adult care and will give an international perspective on effective and concrete transition programs (transfer readiness, parents in transition, or transition in obesity and restrictive eating disorders).
