Exciting job opportunity: Clinical Research Fellow in Adolescent Health, UCLH, London

We are delighted to announce that there is an exciting opportunity to join Prof Russel Viner's Adolescent Medicine team in the GAP Unit at University College Hospital London. The GAP Unit brings together general (including specialist community) and adolescent paediatric academic strength with undergraduate medical student teaching. These academic training positions are suitable for paediatric trainees who have completed core training and are interested in a career in academic paediatrics. The posts are 50% academic and 50% clinical, with clinical work based at University College London Hospital or in integrated paediatric care at the Whittington Hospital and linked community services

Two posts are available; 1 in adolescent health with Prof. Russell Viner, and 1 in integrated child health with Dr Alastair Sutcliffe.

The posts are initially funded for 4 years.

Applicants must have MRCPCH/MRCP or equivalent and be prepared to undertake a higher research degree. Applicants must be in possession of, or be eligible to apply for, a National Training Number (NTN) in Paediatrics. Candidates must have completed a NLS/PALS/APLS Provider course (or equivalent). The candidates must have an interest in research and attending scientific meetings. Experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level is essential. The candidates must have evidence of basic management skills and of involvement in multi-disciplinary audits.
